Description:
Every 12 months we are engaged to inspect the 3 steam boilers that operate at the PA Hospital. We have to climb inside the boilers and CCTV survey every 5th row of tubes for wear and tear. We use a push style camera and generate an in house report of our own that tells the customer which tubes were inspected and any findings/ defects.
Challenges:
The challenge we face with doing this kind of survey is that there is very limited space inside the boiler. We work to a SWMS which specifies all of the safety components which we need to meet, to do this job safely.
